  • Sue Fishkoff dove deep inside the world of Chabad researching "The Rebbe’s Army: Inside the World of Chabad-Lubavitch" (Schocken, 2003), traveling from Brooklyn to Boca, from Anchorage to Salt Lake City, and from Detroit to Los Angeles to find out how Chabad grew into the world's largest Jewish outreach empire. With her 30 years of experience as a journalist for the Jewish media, she interviewed hundreds of Chabad rabbis and emissaries, as well as the Jews who flock to their Chabad centers, and recounts what she learned with insight and humor. She is currently the editor of J. The Jewish News of Northern California, and is based in San Francisco. Book signing will follow.

  • Marthe Cohn was a beautiful young Jewish woman living in France when Hitler rose to power. As the Nazi occupation escalated, Marthe’s sister was arrested and sent to Auschwitz. The rest of her family was forced to flee to the south of France. Always a fighter, Marthe became a member of the intelligence service of the French First Army, fighting valiantly to retrieve needed inside information about Nazi troop movements by slipping behind enemy lines, utilizing her perfect German accent and blonde hair to pose as a young German nurse who was desperately trying to obtain word of a fictional fiance. It’s an honor and privilege for The Chabad House to invite Marthe Cohn to share her remarkable tale with the Palm Beach community.
