For many, summertime means ball games, lemonade and catching up on reading. And, said Rabbi Zalman Levitin, it’s the perfect time for study and discussion of Judaism’s relevance in modern life. In fact, it’s the theme of off-season classes at The Chabad House, 361 S. County Road.
The Torah-based classes are open to people at all levels of Jewish knowledge at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Participants can attend one or more classes.
“This course is truly novel in the way it probes the depths of classic Jewish thought to address the issues we face in contemporary life,” said Levitin, spiritual leader of Chabad of Northern Palm Beach Island and the course instructor.
Among the topics are realizing your true potential, human struggle, spiritual climbing and the power of a single action.
