On the 19th of Kislev, founder of Chabad Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi was freed from his imprisonment in Czarist Russia. The date therefore marks the birth of Chassidism. Rabbi Shneur Silberberg of the Bais Chabad Torah Center of West Bloomfield will address the Palm Beach community on the practical application of mysticism in the life of every Jew.

On the tenth of Shvat, the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson, passed away. One year later in 1951, his son-in-law Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson accepted leadership of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement. From that day on, the Rebbe set about transforming world Jewry. Meet a chossid of the Rebbe, Rabbi Matisyahu Devlin, the son of a Jewish mother and devout Catholic father, as he shares his tale of growing up in York, PA, in the church, until one fateful night on the streets, where he slept after being expelled from school and getting into trouble with the law. Matisyahu is married with two children and teaches in a Miami yeshiva for young men like himself.
