Hindel and Rabbi Zalman Levitin of Palm beach announce the birth of their fifth child and first son.
Sholom Mendel Levitin was born Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the Miami Maternity Center, weighing 8 pounds, 3 ounces.
His maternal grandparents are Rishe and Avrohom Moshe Deitsch.
Paternal grandparents are Feige and Rabbi Berl Levitin.
The child, who is named for his great-grandfather, will be called Mendel.
He joins his four sisters, Rivka, 10; Mirel, 8; Rochel, 4; and Musia, 3, at home in Palm Beach.
The rabbi is the executive director at Chabad of Northern Palm Beach Island; Hindel Levitin is program director.
