Shalom Story Time — Children who joined Shalom Story Time Tuesday at the local children’s library were treated to Jewish books themed on Shabbat, followed by challah baking.
“We made the traditional blessing on challah dough, thanking G‑d for all our sustenance and recognizing that all that we have, including something as basic as our bread, comes from Him,” said Hindel Levitin via email. “Hands down, the kids favorite topping was chocolate chips.”
The program is presented by Chabad of Northern Palm Beach Island, Rabbi Zalman Levitinand Rebbetzin Hindel Levitin, in cooperation with the Lorraine & Jack N. Friedman Commission for Jewish Education’s PJ Library Program.
The next story time featuring a book, creative craft and snack will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday with the the mitzvah of honoring parents as the theme and March 31 with the theme Passover. Visitpalmbeachjewish.com/youth.
