Ma's Orange Soup

Ingredients: 
1 butternut squash- peel and scoop out seeds
1 acorn squash- peel and scoop out seeds
1 yellow zucchini
1 green zucchini
1 lg. spanish onion

1 lg. sweet potato

2 lg. potatoes

3 lg. carrots

Directions: 
Peel (except the zucchinis, leave peel on) and chop veggies into chunks. Place them into a large pot and cover the veggies with water (just enough to cover the veggies, otherwise soup will be too watery). Cook for 1/2 hour- 45 minutes. Blend with hand blender. Add 1/8 cup salt, pepper. Add a pinch of ginger, garlic powder, curry powder, rosemarie, thyme and sage. If you don't have all those spices in the house, nisht geferlach, but don't leave out the salt!

This soup does fantabulously well when you double it, but be warned you get a huge amount, so you'll need a huge pot or two large ones.
