Hindel's Basic Roast

Defrost meat in fridge overnight. Next morning, remove from package and fridge to totally defrost, rinse and drain pan from any juices.

Lay out meat flat and bake on 350 for 1 hour, uncovered. Turn over and bake on 350 for 1 hour, uncovered again.

Add lots and lots of fried onions- enough to cover the entire meat, sprinle salt (and pepper optional) and cover tightly and bake an additional 1 hour.

Turn over meat and add lots and lots of fried onions- enough to cover the entire meat, sprinkle salt (and peper optional) and cover tightly and bake for one more hour.

Optional: Add zuchinis, potatoes and sweet potatoes- peeled and diced- under the meat during cooking. You get an entire meal from the one pan. If you add veggies to the bottom of the pan, also add a little water and wine to the bottom of the pan so that the veggies will not dry out the meat.

Uncover to cool for an hour or two, then cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.

Next morning, slice thinly and put back into the sauce and into fridge until you are ready to heat and serve!
