Darcie’s Brisket

Season the brisket with garlic powder and salt both sides

Then sprinkle potato starch, ketchup, (dry) onion soup mix on both sides

Add about 2 inches water in the pan
 

Bake 350 for 3 hours covered

Allow to cool and when cold, slice against the grain of the meat

Freeze brisket and gravy separately

When ready to serve reheat for one hour at 350


Optional: When reheating to serve, add baby red potatoes to the bottom of the pan. When brisket is hot, the potatoes will be cooked and taste delicious with the flavor of the meat.
